Choir

The Roswell Street Choir is an ensemble for high school students and older who want to use their musical talents to lead others in worship.  The Choir provides musical leadership weekly in the Blended Service and monthly in Sunday evening services.  Under the leadership of Music Minister Joe Buckner and accompanist Evy Farr the Choir rehearses Wednesday from 6:30-8:00pm in the Choir Room and joins forces with the Orchestra to provide seasonal music presentations.

 

Orchestra

The Roswell Street Orchestra is an instrumental ensemble for high school students and older who want to use their intermediate/advanced level of instrumental talent to lead others in worship in Sunday morning Blended services.  Under the leadership of Instrumental Music Minister Hugh Norman and accompanist Linda Matthews, the Orchestra rehearses Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Orchestra Room and works alongside the Choir in providing seasonal music presentations.

 

 Men’s Quartet (Auditioned)

 An auditioned ensemble of four men, the Men’s Quartet

 sings primarily in the southern gospel and inspirational 

 genres and shares selections regularly in the Sunday

 morning and evening blended services.  This group is active in

 singing opportunities in the community.

 

 Sovereign (Auditioned)

 An auditioned ensemble of mixed voices, Sovereign leads

 worship monthly in the Blended Service sharing selections 

 in a variety of musical styles.  This ensemble helps to

 provide worship leadership and special music selections.

  

Redeemed (Auditioned)

An auditioned group of mixed voices, Redeemed is directed by Carl Trevathan who composes original compositions for this group. Redeemed shares musical selections in the Blended Service.  Redeemed has recorded two CDs which are available through Roswell Street Baptist Church's Come Alive ministry.

 

Rejoice (Senior Adult Choir)

Directed by Music Minister Joe Buckner and accompanied by Zenita Beeler, Rejoice is a missional ensemble especially for senior adults.  We rehearse weekly during the school year on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:00pm in the Vision Center.  Rejoice shares musical presentations in senior care facilities throughout Cobb County twice monthly.  Our repertoire consists of "great hymns of the faith," gospel songs, golden age music and inspirational classics.

ReSoUnD (5th-8th graders)

A worship leadership ensemble for 5th-8th graders, ReSoUnD is led by Tammy Nall and Hugh Norman.  We rehearse throughout the school year on Wednesday evenings from 5:45- 6:20pm in the Choir Room.  ReSoUnD sings regularly in Blended Services and seasonally in the Community Christmas Celebration (C3) and Good Friday Service.  We will be featured in a middle-school led worship experience on Sunday evening, April 22 in the 6:00pm worship service.

 

 Children’s Choirs (1st-4th graders)

 Under the leadership of Joe Buckner and Angie

 Green, our 1st-2nd Grade Choirs and 3rd-4th

 Grade Choirs rehearse Wednesday evenings in the

 Children’s Building throughout the school year as a

 part of the E-force Education Team curriculum.  The

 1st-4th Grade Choirs sing regularly in the Blended

 Service and are featured in the Community Christmas

 Celebration and the Good Friday Service each year.

  

Preschool Choir (4K-5K)

Under the leadership of Karma Scardino and a team of leaders, the 4K-5K Choir meets weekly in the Children’s Building on Wednesday evenings as part of the E-force Education Team curriculum from

6:00-7:50pm. These young musicians sing regularly in the Blended Service throughout the school year.
