Mission and Strategy

 
The Missions Ministry of RSBC exists to reach people for Christ across the streets, across the states and across the seas.  Acts 1:8 reads, You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Across the Seas

We reach out across the seas by partnering with various missionaries and ministries all across the globe.  We are involved in several partnerships, which have recently included Brazil, Costa Rica, China, Canada, and Africa.  This year, we have mission trips planned for Costa Rica, Brazil and Canada.

Stretch FamilyStretch Ministries Partnership
 
Having commissioned long-time church members Donald & Cristy Stretch in 2011, Roswell Street Baptist Church has an ongoing partnership with Stretch Ministries in Dominical, Costa Rica.  The mission of Stretch Ministries is to minister to orphans by meeting physical and spiritual needs.  One way they do this is through recreation ministries and a newly laid basketball court.  You can find out more about their story here.

Across the States

We reach out across the states by helping church planters in reaching their target areas.  Our objective is to minister to those who are hurting and hungry for the Truth. Recently, we have sent mission teams to Oregon, Alabama, north Georgia and Mississippi.
 
New City Church Partnership
 
Roswell Street Baptist Church is a "sending church" for a new church planted in Queens, NY that was launched in January of 2013.  Our very own Patrick Thompson, accompanied by wife Katie, son PJ, & daughter Natalie, is pastoring this new church plant!  More information about - New-City Church at Long Island City - can be found on their website:  http://www.new-citychurch.com/

Across the Streets

We reach out across the streets by ministering to those within Cobb County.  Being in the heart of an immigrant area, our church has several volunteers who teach English as a Second Language.  We engage many from the RSBC membership to minister through the Women's Pregnancy Center on our church campus.  We are constantly exploring open doors of needs and new ministry possibilities in and around our community.

Missions Giving

To date during Dr. Easley's tenure, over $9 million dollars have been contributed in total missions offerings, projects, and programming in the work to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ across the streets, across the states and across the seas.  Received annually during the month of December under Dr. Ernest Easley’s 10 year's of leadership, the Roswell Street Baptist Church family has contributed in excess of $2.75 million to the World Mission Offering, a Lottie Moon Offering received for international mission work.
 
Roswell Street Baptist Church is a mission-minded church with a rich history of sacrificial giving for furthering the gospel of Jesus Christ.
